How to reach us, and the answers to what comes up

Go Here is made and run by one person, and that is who reads it. If it is about a list, paste its link: lists are found by their links and recovery codes, not by an account. If it is about a profile, give its handle.

I've lost my lists

Your lists live on your device, not in an account, and a browser is allowed to clear a site it hasn’t seen in a while. The ways back, in order. Open a bookmarked owner link: opening it puts the city back on your keyring. Under Link a device, type your recovery code, if you took one. Or type a device code from another device that still has the lists.

If you have a profile, signing into it under Profile brings back every list it knew. If none of those apply, nothing can find a list: that is the price of not needing an account. Take a recovery code now, under Link a device, for the lists you make next: it lives where the browser can’t reach.

Profiles and following

A profile is a page at gohere.studio/@you with the cities you choose on it. Make one under Profile on the home page: it asks for your email address and sends a code, since a handle has to survive a lost phone. Following someone needs no account. Their cities join your globe, and what they add reaches you. Gatekept spots never go on a profile, and a city you leave off stays as private as its links.

Every profile and shared list has Report at its foot, and every profile Block. What can go on a page: Guidelines →

A link I shouldn't have sent

In the share panel, Handed it to the wrong person? New link → replaces it. The old link stops working for everyone who holds it; the other link and the list are untouched.

A spot isn't in the search

Search runs on open map data, and what open data misses most is a place inside another place: a stall in a food hall, a counter in a department store. Three ways through. Look it up on Google is offered when the search comes up empty. Search the street address instead, add the building, and rename it. Or hold on the map to drop a pin and name it yourself.

No signal

What you have already looked at is kept on the device, so a list you opened at home opens on the plane. A published list goes read-only until there is signal again (edits are not queued), and the map holds only the tiles you have panned over. Open a list once while you still have a connection. iOS clears a site’s cache after about a week without a visit; the keyring survives that, the tiles don’t.

On iPhone

The app is the site in a frame of its own: the same lists, the same keys, and a link to a city opens in it. It keeps your keyring in the phone’s Keychain as well as in the page, so it is never lost to the browser’s housekeeping.

Go Here Pro

The first 20 spots, across all your cities, are free. Pro keeps them coming, in every city, with no limit: by the month or by the year, bought in the iPhone app and renewing until cancelled in Settings. Only a list’s owner is ever asked; a friend adding to yours never is. Nothing is hidden or taken away when the free spots run out: the spot you were adding waits, and goes in the moment you’re Pro. Pro bought on your iPhone reaches your other devices when you link them.

Deleting

Delete a city you own from the keyring and everything on the server goes with it: every spot, every picture, every link. A profile and its account are deleted under Profile. Delete the app, or clear the site’s data, to remove what is on the device. For a recovery backup, write to us with the code.
