Save places from TikTok, Instagram and YouTube

Guide · Updated November 3, 2026

The short answer

Share the post or video to Go Here and it reads out the places in it, then puts the ones you tick on your map of that city, marked to go. On iPhone this works from the share sheet in any app; in a browser, paste a YouTube link under Import. YouTube videos are watched for every place shown or named. A TikTok is read from its caption, the text on it, its location tag and what’s said in it; an Instagram post from its caption and picture.

From the share sheet

In TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Safari or any app with a share button, tap Share and pick Go Here from the share sheet. The places come back as a list: each one found on the map, with its city, and a tick next to it. Nothing is added until you say so.

What gets read

  • YouTube videos and Shorts: the video itself is watched, so a place that is only on a sign or said out loud still comes through, with the moment it appears.
  • TikTok posts: the caption, the text laid over the video, the location tag and what’s said in it, as TikTok’s captions heard it.
  • Instagram posts: the caption and the picture.
  • Screenshots: every place written in the picture. Useful for a story, or a list a friend sent as an image.
  • Links to a web page or a map pin: the places they name.

In a browser

Under Import on the home page, Video takes a YouTube link and Screenshot takes a picture. For posts, paste the names under List; see how to turn a list into a map.

They arrive as to go

A place from a video is one you have not been to yet, so it starts as to go and keeps where it came from. Rate it once you have been, and it is marked been.

Notes in your words, not the caption's

The note on a place you saved is short and plain, the dish or the tip, not the post’s caption copied out. Facts come only from the post itself.

Questions

How do I save restaurants from TikTok to a map?

On iPhone, tap Share on the TikTok, then Go Here. It reads the places from the caption, the text on the video, the location tag and what’s said in it, finds each on the map, and adds the ones you tick to your map of that city.

Can Go Here find places in a YouTube video?

Yes. Share the video to Go Here, or paste its link under Import, then Video. It watches the video for every place in it and the moment each appears. Five new videos a day are free, thirty with Pro, and a video someone has already read is free to open again.

Does it add places without asking?

No. Every place comes back with a tick; only the ones you leave ticked go on your map.

What if it gets a place wrong?

Each row offers the other matches it found and a Wrong name? fix, and a doubtful one Look it up on Google. Or untick it and drop a pin yourself.
