Your favorite places, on a map
Guide · Updated November 3, 2026
The short answer
Make one map per city and put every place you would send a friend to on it, each with a line about why: what to order, when to go. Go Here does this in any browser and on iPhone, with no account: search a place or hold the map to drop a pin, then add a note, a rating out of 10 and pictures. One link shares the whole city.
One map per city
A list of names is easy to keep and hard to use: standing on a corner, you want to see what is near you. A map per city puts every spot where it is, so the one around the corner is the one you notice.
In Go Here, type a city into Add a city or a spot to start one. Search for a place by name or address, or hold on the map to drop a pin where open map data has nothing, and name it yourself.
Write the reason down
The note is what makes the list yours. Keep it to the useful part: the dish, the table to ask for, the hour it gets busy. A rating out of 10, with one decimal, sorts the great from the fine. Pictures help you find the door.
Been, or to go
Mark which places you have been to and which you only mean to try. A place you saved from a video starts as to go; rating it marks it been. On a shared list, friends can tell your picks from your wishlist. Put the city on a profile and its atlas inks the country; see a map of the places you’ve been.
Find it again
Go Here sorts spots into Food, Shop, Drink and See on its own, so one tap shows only the bars and cafes. A list you have opened once still opens without signal, which is when you need it most: on a plane, or underground.
Share it
Share list hands out a view link: whoever opens it sees the map and the notes, in a browser, with no app and no account. See how to share your recommendations.
Questions
What is the best way to keep track of restaurants I want to try?
Save them on a map of the city with a short note on why, and mark them as to go until you have been. Go Here keeps one map per city, filters to what you have not tried yet, and opens offline once you have looked at it.
Do I need an account to save places in Go Here?
No. A city is yours by a private link kept on your device. A recovery code, Link a device or signing into your profile carries your cities to another phone or computer. Only a public profile needs a sign-in: an email address, Apple or Google.
Does Go Here work on Android?
There is no Android app yet, but the whole of Go Here runs in the browser at gohere.studio, and the site can be added to the home screen. The iPhone app is the same site in a frame of its own.
Is Go Here free?
The first 20 spots, across all your cities, are free. Go Here Pro takes the limit away, $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year or $49.99 once in the US, bought in the iPhone app. A friend adding to your list never pays.
