Share your recommendations for a city
Guide · Updated November 3, 2026
The short answer
Put your recommendations on a map once and send the link, instead of retyping the same list every time someone visits. In Go Here, Share list gives a view link that opens in any browser with no app or account, showing every spot with your notes and ratings. Send as note writes the list out as a message, link included.
Why a map beats a text
A text with twelve names gets screenshotted, lost, and searched one name at a time. A map shows what is near the friend’s hotel, what is open late, and which places you have actually been to. Update the list and every link shows the change.
Two kinds of link
A view link lets people look. An invite link lets them add their own spots too, which suits a trip you are planning together. Anyone holding it can edit the spots added through it; yours stay yours. Share list hands out the view link until you switch it from View only to Collaborate.
Sent a link to the wrong person? New link in the share panel replaces it, and the old one stops working for everyone who holds it.
Leave some out
Hide on any spot keeps it off every shared link while it stays on your own map. See how to share a list and keep some spots to yourself.
As a message
Some people would rather read a text than open a link. Send as note writes your list out as a short message, grouped and in plain words, with the view link at the foot. Hidden spots are never in it.
A page of your own
If people ask often, a profile at gohere.studio/@you shows the cities you choose. Friends can follow it with no account: your cities join theirs, and in a city they keep too, Theirs too puts the places you’ve been on their map.
Questions
How do I send someone my favorite restaurants in a city?
Put them on a Go Here map of that city with a note each, then tap Share list and send the link. It opens in any browser, on any phone, with no app or account.
Can friends add places to my list?
Yes: switch the link from View only to Collaborate before you send it. They can add spots and edit the ones added through it; yours stay yours.
Can I stop a link from working?
Yes. New link in the share panel replaces it; the old one stops working for everyone who has it, and the list is untouched.
Does the person I send it to need Go Here?
No. A shared list is a web page. If they want to keep it, Keep this list puts it on their own keyring, still with no account.
